2018, That’s a wrap

I can’t believe another year has already come and gone…I’m starting to trust that the older you get, the quicker time passes. And if you told me 364 days ago what 2018 would consist of, I don’t think I’d believe you-

So far in my 22 years of life, this year has been filled with some of the highest highs and the lowest lows. I have definitely grown as a person and learned a lot about life through this year’s experiences.

According to Instagram, my top nine moments are below-

I’d have to say Instagram captured some of the biggest things that happened to me in 2018, but a picture is only worth a thousand words.

2018 was a year full of love, loss, change, and surprises — I lost my best friend to cancer, watched my mom overcome sudden open heart surgery, graduated college, started my career, and maintained an active travel life. To say I was busy this year is an understatement.

But when you go through such an emotional rollercoaster over the course of 12 months, it reminds you how little control you have in life. A big lesson I learned this year is, you never know.

You never know when your last hours will be. You never know when you’ll get this chance again. You never know who you’ll meet. You never know where life will take you…

I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve had this year and have gathered some of my statistics from 2018–

  • 14 Flights
  • 3 Countries
  • 8 States
  • 13 Cities
  • 2 Jobs (not at the same time)
  • 5 Roadtrips
  • 3 Concert’s of 80’s bands
  • 1 Music Festival
  • 5 College Classes (last ones!)
  • Countless pictures/videos

A year ago I wanted to end 2018 a better version of myself…someone 2017 me would admire. I can honestly say I’m happy with the person I am and will continue to grow to be. This year was filled with a lot of faith, family, friends, and fun! So as we enter 2019, lets remember –

Let it be. Let it flow. Let it go.

Remember, tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book – write another good one!

Some of my top memories from 2018:

Whatever happened over this past year, be thankful for where to brought you. Where you are is where you’re meant to be.
